Acnes are known as skin inflammation. The inflammation happens in oil glands or sebaceous glands and becomes infected with bacteria, fill with pus and swell up. Acne can happen on any part of the body but commonly occur on the face, neck, shoulder and back. Acnes are not dangerous. However, they are annoying and make some people feel miserable with their appearances. Treating acne is fairly easy with anti acne cream, lotions, and medicines available in the market. However, some people want to know how to get rid of acne in a week naturally.
There are a lot of options of natural acne remedies. Some of them can be easily grabbed at home without the need to go somewhere else:
- Ice. Simply wrap an ice cube in a piece of cloth and put it on the affected skin for a few seconds. Wait a few seconds and put the ice on affected skin again.
- Lemon. Simply squeeze lemon for its juice and use cotton swab to apply the juice on the acne before going to bed. Another way is by mixing the juice of lemon with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder before going to bed. In the morning, wash the skin with warm water. This method’s not good for sensitive skin.
- Tea tree oil. Dip a cotton ball on tea tree oil and apply it on acne. Let it be for 15 to 20 minutes then wash the face. Another good option is by mixing the tea tree oil with 1 tablespoon of the aloe vera gel. This method’s not for sensitive skin.
- Toothpaste. Apply toothpaste on acne before going to bed and wash it properly in the morning. Don’t use gel toothpaste.
- Steam. Fill a bowl with hot water and lean over the bowl. Let the steam comes to the facial skin for a few minutes and then wash the face with lukewarm water.
- Garlic. Cut garlic clove into two and rub it on acnes. Leave it for about five minutes and then wash it with lukewarm water. Repeat the process several times a day. Raw garlic can also help purifying blood circulation but don’t eat too much.
- Baking soda. Mix baking soda and water to make a paste. Apply the paste directly on the skin and let it be for a while before washing it. Repeat the process twice a day.
- Honey. Dip cotton swab in honey and apply it on acnes. Leave for half an hour and then wash the skin with the lukewarm water. Do it several times a day

In order to be free from acne quickly, it is important to check on daily diet. It is important to avoid oily and fatty foods. Pay attention to the seemingly petty habits related to hands and the palms. Hands are use for many things and sometimes, the dirty hands with bacteria used to touch the skin and lead to acne problems.
